Under the Misty Mountains

Yep, I went to see the premiere of The Hobbit last night, and I just had to this!
I loved the movie and can't wait to see the next installment.
Here's my take on Gollum's Cave, located under Hithaeglir (the Misty Mountains):

Online Portfolio + Exposé 10

Finally, after days of smashing my head on the keyboard struggling with html, css and the website design itself, I managed to finish my online portfolio! I'm very happy with the final version and can only hope that you like it too!
So go check it out and tell me what you think:

(Oh, and I finally came up with a signature!)
I'll still update my blog though, with WIP's, news, etc...

And talking about news...
"The new artbook is here! The new artbook is here! Page 213 - Diego D'Andrea! I'm somebody now!"
I got my hands on my new baby, and I'm so honored to be part of this.

New Old Project

Back when I was in College I started developing a platformer game.
I did only a one-level-demo at that time, but I really liked the idea and appeal of it.

I'm currently thinking about bringing it back to life and redesigning the whole thing.
Here are some sketches of the main character animations and expressions:

And some posing:

Hopefully you'll hear more about that soon...

Bobby's World - painting

I've been willing to paint that Bobby's World sketch I did for a long time, and now I finally did it!
I simply love that cartoon! Here it is, hope you like it!

UPDATE!
I'm having a bit of a fanboy moment here, as Howie Mandel himself (creator of the show and Bobby's dad) said he loved the painting:
I'm more than flattered!

Art dump

Here's something that I've been working on lately. It was supposed to be a facebook social game of a brazilian reality show set in a farm, but, unfortunately, the game project was cancelled.
It took me some time to set the art direction of the game but I was really happy with how it turned out. I might explore this oversaturated style a bit more in my next cartoon paintings.

And more artwork from another project that didn't see the light of day: This would be for a iPhone/Android game:

Chapolin meets Kickass

So, a couple of days ago I saw this video, and decided to do my own take on this parallel universe badass Chapolin.
For those who don't know Chapolin is the main character of self-titled mexican television series!
